Hi Everyone

I hope you are all keeping well and have plans over Christmas where you will be with another or others as I think it is friendships, family and all those social interactions that make the world go round.

I would love to share my Christmas news with you.   I’m over the moon to let you know one of my paintings has become the front cover of an inspirational self-help book by Australian author, Anne Poole called “Believe in Yourself”.

Anne had purchased several pieces of my artwork already.  When she saw this particular painting (see above), she knew it would be the ideal book cover as she felt it encompassed all the hope and joy in what has been referred to as an encouraging and inspirational read.  The book shares Anne’s life journey and the struggle of overcoming challenges from being unhappy to finding fulfilment and vitality so it’s an encouraging read.

As with all my artwork, I wanted to convey a feeling and a light that reached out to those that saw it. Nature is very much my inspiration, as you know, and I spent plenty of time outside going for walks taking in the abundant palette of colour. When Anne saw the painting, we arranged for it to be shipped out to Australia, where she lives – my heart was in my mouth until I knew it had arrived safely as it was shipped out fully framed!

It has been a privilege to be part of it all and Anne has been very generous to include my own biography story at the back of the book. It is now available on amazon worldwide if you’d like to take a look.

As you can imagine, the whole experience has had me skipping and jumping around inside and I’m keen to start painting again, probably at the beginning of next year.  However, I love the teaching as you know and want to do that as much as possible as it involves you and a lot of other people I have yet to meet.

So, if you’re wondering what to do when you have a moment to yourself, why not give painting a go.  It is one of the most soothing things you can do as you dive into a bubble of creativity and colour whilst time whizzes by.  If you don’t know how, then find someone who will help you.  I would certainly love to.

Chuckle, okay I must stop…..you know me when it comes to painting!  All that remains is for me to wish you all festive cheer over the coming weeks and to thank you for your continued support.  It’s a joy to have you in my life.

Happy Painting and Warm Wishes  Sophia xx
