Have you ever thought of the benefits of tissue paper to add texture to your background? I came up with the idea illustrated in the photo, the aim being to paint a postcard in a short space of time for a craft evening. What people didn’t realise is that we used tissue paper and lots of glue underneath so that when the acrylic paint was applied, all the lumps and bumps of the tissue paper added another dimension quite effortlessly.
