I hope each and every one of you is well.

I’m writing with a feeling of excitement – things are starting to move and although this year’s Residential was affected by recent events and didn’t take place, we now have organised the next Residential Painting Holiday for 2021.

This means we will still be holding the Residential at Abingworth Hall in the South Downs as planned but for the dates 25th June to 2nd July 2021.  Having been there myself, I know the South Downs is a beautiful area and has a rather mellow “feel” to it.  Not only that, there is so much to see and do in the surrounding area.  If you’re interested in learning to paint, improving existing skills interspersed with days off out and about, please click here to see further detailshttps://www.sophiaflowers.com/2020-united-kingdom/    Everyone is most welcome as you know;  all ages, all abilities, especially beginners, with the emphasis on inspiration, fun and discovery for each person.

In the meantime, painting classes are available once again (with social distancing protocol in place) and of course, we can all get out in this glorious weather with a sketchbook, pen and paints and have a go at putting down what we see or even simply using our imaginations.

Bob Ross has been on television the last few weeks and I have been approached to start teaching this in particular so if this is something that interests you, then please get in touch.

The main thing is we allow our creativity to flow through whatever medium it is that brings us joy whether it be painting, sewing, the clothes you wear or the interior design of your house.  After all, the world is a palette full of colour.

Happy Painting
