I’ve always felts it’s important we grow and expand, constantly discovering who we are so when I spotted a course with Soyara French that fell exactly on my Birthday, I took it as a sign that now was a good time to learn more about mixed media. Not only that, I love Soyara’s work as it too is bright and vivid.
I discovered there’s so much more to acrylic, molding pastes, gessos, oil pastels and crayons than I first realised and I delighted in the colour and it’s movement on the canvas or paper whilst making new friends. Like wet-on-wet oil, it too can be layered many times over to create texture, highlighting or lowlighting relevant areas.
