Choosing the quality of your paints is as equally important as the painting itself.  If you’re going to splash around without a care in the world, then a cheaper brand that is more watered down, has extra filler and low quality pigments doesn’t matter.  However, if you’re like me, this is when you are most likely to produce something you really like simply because you’re in a “don’t care” mode.

In general, the top brands in acrylic are things like the ‘Golden’ products from the US followed by middle-of-the-range products like ‘Galleria’/ ‘Daler Rowney’ with things like the ‘Reeves’ Brand as the cheapest.  Have a go at combining them as well.
