I find that it’s in the stillness that ideas can come through, especially being out in nature. These ideas can indicate stillness in themselves, such as the painting above, which is simple in it’s display of colour. Simple paintings can be very eye-catching in an environment where the background is clear, light and uncluttered. A background canvas for the canvas itself! This painting is in our bathroom at the moment against a backdrop of white tiles with the odd hint of blues picked out in the towels, etc.
