In the above painting, the white of the canvas was used to paint the flower. Brilliant blue watercolour was applied after creating a rough outline. A bright yellow acrylic was then used to give an indication of the flower centre and texture of the petals. In addition, the petals were enhanced by the blue watercolour naturally seeping in. The white of the canvas was left to do it’s work.
